Actualities of Civil Procedure Law national and comparative legal-theoretical and practical achievements

The first international conference "Actualities of Civil Procedure Law - national and comparative legal-theoretical and practical achievements" was held on the 19th and 20th of November 2015in Split, organized by the Faculty of Law of the University of Split and its department of Civil Procedure Law, Institute for Research of Civil Court Proceedings and Cooperation with the Judiciary and the Institute for Cooperation with the Economy and Institutions.

Since then, it has been held continuously once a year and can be said to have become traditional.

Topics covered at the conference belong to the field of civil court proceedings in the broadest sense – litigation, enforcement, bankruptcy, land registry, non-litigation, out-of-court dispute resolution, etc., both in functional and organizational and status terms.

Papers presented at the conference are published in the Proceedings, which is available not only to conference participants but also to the widest interested public.

Renowned scientists and practitioners from Croatia and abroad (Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, Northern Macedonia, Spain, Netherlands, Bolivia) are participating in the conference as speakers.

As the name of the conference suggests, this conference aimed to analyze and exchange opinions on significant and current events in the field of national and international civil procedural law.

We want the results of discussions at the conferences to help the legal public, especially legal practitioners, to clarify and practically explain the numerous doubts related to the implementation of national and international procedural legal sources, to point to recent case law, to acquaint them with upcoming or adopted amended procedural legislation, generate solution proposals de lege ferenda, and similar.

It is especially important that students participate in the counselling, because in this way, in the form of recognized extracurricular activities, they are directly acquainted with legal practice.
